Gallimimus was rated 70 when joining current connections at the sale last Autumn and it's fair to say it took them some time to get to the bottom of him, but recent runs suggest he is in far better form than at the start of the season and could be a well handicapped horse at present off a mark of 57. He won over this track and distance two starts ago, where he set a decent early pace and galloped on strongly to win by a neck. It's probably best to ignore his last run, where there was a hotly contested early pace and to Gallimimus's credit he fared best of those up there with it when finishing 4th of 11. It does look like Gallimimus might be able to make the running today without being pestered too much and if his jockey can get the fractions right, Gallimimus could be a hard horse to pass at the finish.
