A busy Saturday with Sandown's Imperial Cup meeting taking centre stage and here are the thoughts of our Long Shot tipster.

Spirits Bay has shown some good form this season and a couple of decent efforts in handicap company at Cheltenham and Haydock were backed up with a very good 3rd at Cheltenham in grade 2 company behind Constitution Hill. It wouldn't be wise to take that form literally but it did show that Spirits Hill is on good terms with himself at the moment and could well be a horse handicapped to strike off a mark of 125. He is often held up in his races so a nice strong gallop (should get that here) will play to his strengths and he is a horse that stays 2m very well. Spirits Bay rates a 4 star win Pick.

To Chase A Dream is a real consistent sort and in his 9 starts under rules has finished either 1st or 2nd on 8 of those outings. On his latest start at Doncaster he finished 2nd in what looked a messy race (hurdles committed in the straight) and didn't quite have the speed of the winner. Prior to that he was 4th in a Cheltenham handicap where again he didn't quite have the speed to get into the race but finished really well. A stronger gallop and today's stiff uphill finish at Sandown should suit him much better and he looks a horse that could still have plenty of improvement in him off a mark of 128. To Chase A Dream rates a 4 star each way Pick.
