Drumstick is fairly lightly raced and has only been with current connections for 4 starts so far and shown gradual improvement each time. He was a staying on 4th of 12 over this very track and distance two runs back and followed that up with a good 3rd at Newcastle over 1m last time out. He might have help set too fast an early pace that day, but to his credit kept on to be in the places. Given a more patient ride from a good draw today, Drumstick looks like being in the thick things at the finish. He looks a horse that is well handicapped off 68 at the moment and his stable have been in fair form recently, most notably with Captain Kinsella. Drumstick rates a 5 star each way Pick.
