Francisco's Piece established himself as a very decent 2-year old at the early part of the season, so much so that a listed class win at Chantilly set up a tilt at the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. Although the was well held there and then subsequently in the Molecomb at Goodwood he bounced back to form last time out at Haydock. Francisco's Piece was giving weight all round to his rivals and managed to finish a staying on 2nd of 5 beaten only a neck. That was on soft ground so he should handle conditions today. Francisco's Piece looks to be one of the class horses in the race and with a very good draw in stall 2 should play a part in the finish. Francisco's Piece rates a 4 star each way Pick.
