Glorious Goodwood and the Galway Festival take centre stage on an excellent day racing. Here are the thoughts of our Long Shot tipster.

Trainer Ralph Beckett has done extremely well with his fillies and mares this season and he can get Al Anoud back into the winners enclosure today. Al Anoud was a perfect 2 wins from 2 starts last season and returned to action with a very solid 2nd at Windsor back in May. She then ran over 1m4f at Pontefract and perhaps a combination of making the running and the extra distance just caught her stamina out for her to finish 3rd. Back down to 1m2f today and off what looks a good handicap mark of 89 she looks likely to be in thick of the action at the finish. Al Anoud rates a 4 star each way Pick.

Lets Go Champ is very lightly raced for a 9-year old having had only 8 career starts. He showed some good form over hurdles and achieved a mark of 128 in that sphere, however coming from the point-to-point field he was always likely to do better over fences. This has been the case as he has improved with every run and most recently when winning a 17 runner handicap at the Punchestown Festival in May. It is neigh on certain connections would have had this race in mind after that win and have protected his handicap mark by not running him since. Lets Go Champ should excel over today's extra distance and on good ground. Lets Go Champ rates a 4 star each way Pick.
