He broke his maiden last month at Southwell, staying on strongly to win over 7f. He is lightly raced and looks like a horse that might have a lot more to come this season, especially now tackling a longer distance of 1m. Whip Cracker showed good form as a 2-year old when winning at Chelmsford on only his second start. He was pitched into listed company at 3 and just came up a bit short, before running well in handicaps at the back end of last season. He returned to action with a fine run to finish 4th of 12 in a trial for this race at Wolverhampton at the start of the month, finishing his race off well. That should have put him spot on for today's race and off a mark of 97 he might have a bit of class in handicap company.
