Range had shown good form in bumper races and then over hurdles last season winning 1 of his 4 starts and was given a try in grade 2 novice company. However connections have wasted no time in sending him chasing this season and he got off to a bad start when falling in a handicap chase at Chepstow in October. However he put that right at the same track next time, making most of the running and jumping really well to win by 6 lengths. The handicapper has put him up 8lbs for that victory but it might not be enough to stop him today. Range looks an exciting young chaser in the making and he can continue his progression. Range rates a 5 star each way Pick.

Leader In The Park won his only point-to-point start and was snapped up by current connection and sent hurdling last season. He showed some good form in novice and maiden company winning once at Doncaster from 4 starts. However it always looked like he would make a better chaser than hurdler so it was a bit disappointing to see him finish 5th of 7 on handicap chase debut at Cheltenham last month. However like with a few from his stable, Leader In The Park may well have needed that first run back and should strip a lot fitter today. He is clearly a horse with a lot of potential and his current handicap mark of 120 could well underestimate his ability by some margin. Leader In The Park rates a 4 star each way Pick.

Supreme Gift showed some very good form in bumper races and hurdles in the first two seasons of his career and coming from a point-to-point background was expected to do even better over fences last season. However despite winning 1 of his 4 starts over the larger obstacles his jumping hasn't always been fluent and connections decided to send him back hurdling, a move that has worked out well. Supreme Gift came on for his first run this season when 7th at Cheltenham to land a fair handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time out. He battled on gamely at the finish to win by 1/2 length and looks a horse on good terms with himself. The drop back in distance today means his jockey should make plenty of use of him and he could be a hard horse to pass at the finish. Supreme Gift rates a 4 star each way Pick.
