Resplendent Grey is a likeable sort who showed good form over hurdles before being transferred to fences this season. Although he has only won one of his starts over the larger obstacles he has finished a fine 2nd behind the now 157 rated Handstands over 3m at this track as well as a good 4th of 18 in a Cheltenham Festival handicap last time out. Today's marathon distance should suit Resplendent Grey really well and with the cheek-pieces added for the first time he could well unlock some more improvement. Resplendent Grey's stable are in flying form and it all bodes well for a big run. Resplendent Grey rates a 5 star each way Pick.
