Ard Na Mara has somewhat bucked the trend for her stable who have had a very testing 2024, however she has supplied them with a rare winner when landing a maiden race at Punchestown two runs ago. She came from off the pace that day to stay on strongly and win going away. The combination of stepping her up in distance to 1m5f from 1m1f and also the very soft ground conditions at Down Royal on her handicap debut might have proven a bit too much for her and she could only finish 6th fo 14. Now back down in distance and with a really nice draw in stall 2 she could be just the type to bounce back. Her current mark of 73 looks more than workable and the lightly raced daughter of Profitable should play a part in today's contest. Ard Na Mara rates a 4 star each way Pick.
