The Cookstown Cafu showed some very progressive handicap at the end of 2022 and start of 2023 season winning 3 races and finishing 2nd in the other 2 in a 5 run spell. His form started to dip when tackling slightly strong handicaps and he spent most of the middle and end of last year not really landing a blow in his races as well as the start of this term. However on his last run at York over 7f he showed he might be coming back into a bit of form when finishing 5th of 17, not beaten too far. He now gets to race off a mark of 73 which is considerably lower than last season high of 85 and could well be a well handicapped horse at present. He has a 100% win record at this track and good draw in stall 3 to attack from. The Cookstown Cafu rates a 4 star each way Pick.
