Baltic Bird has been in good form both over hurdles and on the flat of late and he can add another win to his tally of 3 so far under rules. He ran a good race over 2m on the flat last time out at Bellewstown when attempting to make all the running and just fading late on into 4th. Prior to that he was an excellent 2nd in a handicap hurdle at Galway at the end of July over 2m and then perhaps found the extra distance of 2m6f and a race 5 days later all being too much when well beaten at the same track. Now given a nice break and over a distance that might be his optimum over hurdles of 2m4f, he could well be the type to make a bold bid. Baltic Bird rates a 4 star each way Pick.
