Major Force showed some very progressive form in handicap company last season and having started a winning run of 5 races from a mark of just 79 he finished the season rated 118. He was very weak in the betting and racing over an inadequate 2m1f on his return to action at Newton Abbot last month but despite this he travelled through the race powerfully and won going away. That run would likely have brought Major Force on considerably and now racing off a mark of 127 he looks like the type to keep improving. A step back up to 2m5f is going to suit him much better and this strong travelling sort will enjoy the quicker temp in this race. With plenty more to come, Major Force rates a 4 star each way Pick.
