An excellent day's racing with Cheltenham's December meeting taking centre stage. Here are the thoughts of our Racing Factors Long Shot tipster.

Tintintin showed some very progressive form in handicap hurdles last season including a win at this track and a good 3rd in the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock. He showed the benefit of a low key return to action at Wetherby in October by running a fine race here at Cheltenham in the Greatwood Hurdle. Tintintin was held up off the pace that day and in a race where many from the back didn't get into it, Tintintin finished well to end up being 4th of 15. The slightly longer distance and perhaps a more end to end gallop will suit him a lot better today and he looks the type to be firmly in the mix at the finish. Tintintin rates a 4 star each way Pick.

Mister Coffey could be described as a somewhat quirky character, however there was much to like about his recent run over this very track and distance in the Cheltenham meeting last month. He was held up well off the pace that day but did make good headway at the end of the race to finish a running on 2nd of 9. That run, plus having completed both starts over the Grand National fences, suggests this kind of a test suits Mister Coffey really well and it would be no surprise were he to be primed to run a big race today. Mister Coffey rates a 4 star each way Pick.
