Sun God only showed moderate form in his first 4 starts over 7f/1m last year and it was only when stepped up to 1m2f that things clicked for him and he won at Lingfield off a mark of 68. He was strong at the finish that day and won by 3 lengths. The form of that race worked out really well with the 2nd winning 4 in a row after, the 3rd winning and the 4th winning 3 times since. Sun God made his seasonal reappearnce at Newmarket this year and ran well to finish 2nd to a smart type in Black Run.
