Burdett Road showed some smart form last season over hurdles and having won his first two starts impressively he was beaten by a very good horse in Sir Gino here in January. Burdett Road carried on the good work for his new connections when transferred to the flat in the summer and was last seen running in the Group 2 stayers race at Ascot on Champions Day. Now back hurdling off a handicap mark of 133 (flat rating 109) he must surely have a big chance given his overall profile. Good ground should suit him really well and with only 3 starts over hurdles there could be plenty of improvement to come. Burdett Road rates a 5 star each way Pick.
