Mondo Man was a high class performer on the flat in France and was beaten only 4 lengths into 5th in the Group 1 French Derby in June. He was snapped up by current connections to go hurdling in the winter and ran far too keen early on his hurdles debut at Ascot last time out, where he looked like a horse that would improve plenty for his first run for over 6 months but did well to finish 2nd of 7, beaten by a smart rival. That ran would have taken all the freshness out of Mondo Man and he should be a different proposition today. A speed track such as Kempton should suit this classy ex flat horse very well. Mondo Man rates a 5 star win Pick.
