Ruling Court was certainly expected to make a winning racecourse debut at Sandown last month and started 4-9 favourite. He wasn't that sharp out of the stalls but made smooth headway to join the leaders in the home straight and then quickened again to slam his rivals by 5 1/2 lengths. That performance was definitely something out of the ordinary and marked him as a 2-year old to follow. Connections have decided to pitch him in at Group 3 level now for his next start and it would be no surprise if he wasn't up to the task and progress onto Group 1 level in time. 7f over a nice big galloping track such as York should suit him really well and he looks the one to beat. Ruling Court rates a 4 star win Pick.
