King Turgeon has been somewhat of a revelation since having wind surgery last August and is on track to complete a 4-timer today. He backed up an easy win at Chepstow last October with a win over the Grand National fences at Aintree in November. He then raced off a career high mark of 133 and won at Cheltenham last December, rallying well when headed and proving too strong for his rivals in the finish. King Turgeon's connections are hopeful of a run in the Grand National at Aintree in April and today's race looks a good stepping-stone towards that target. King Turgeon rates a 4 star win Pick.
