The Doyen Chief made a good start to his career under rules last season winning a bumper and two hurdles races, the latest coming at Taunton in February. However he is a point-to-point winner and has always looked like a horse that would improve significantly when sent chasing. He gets into today's race off a mark of 125 and that could well underestimate his ability in this sphere. His stable have been amongst the winners recently and if ready to go ( has a good record fresh) then The Doyen Chief should be in the mix at the finish. The Doyen Chief rates a 4 star win Pick.
