Ancient Wisdom showed some very smart form as a 2-year old when winning the Group 1 futurity trophy at Doncaster and was fancied to run a big race in the Epsom Derby last season. He didn't quite handle the undulations of Epsom but bounced back with a win at Newmarket in Group 3 class and finished the season with a good 3rd in a Group 1 race in Germany. Ancient Wisdom looks the type of horse that could well keep progressing this season and today's race looks like a good starting point. The distance of 1m4f and a nice big galloping track like Newbury should suit him really well and with his stable firing in the winners it could be wise to side him today. Ancient Wisdom rates a 4 star win Pick.
