Haatem showed some decent form as a 2-year old but he has stepped up a level at 3 and after winning the Craven Stakes in April he has finished 3rd and 2nd in the English and Irish 2000 Guineas. The two horse that won those races have gone onto both win again in Group 1 company and Haatem's connections avoided them at Royal Ascot where instead they went for the 7f Jersey Stakes. Haatem had to dig deep to repel his rivals that day and managed to win by a short-head. He should be well suited by the easy mile today at Deauville and show his class. Haatem rates a 4 star win Pick.
