Out On The Tear made a very satisfactory return to action when off for almost 11 months when finishing 2nd behind Calico at Southwell. That horse has since finished 2nd behind Jondon beaten only 5 1/2 lengths and won at Doncaster, so the form has a solid look. Out On The Tear was having his first start since wind surgery so could be forgiven for being a little rusty that day. Prior to that he had show consistent form in handicap chases last season, including a win at Catterick. He is now down to the same mark as that last win and could be very competitive in this field.
