VERDICT: Twice a winner in the space of a month last autumn, Montenegro (4) makes his much-awaited return to the track and even without a race under his belt, still looks the horse to beat. That being said, there is no question regarding the fitness of Messire Du Gers (9) who got off the mark last week. Magnum (5) made up at Maure last week for a pair of sanctions and will be no easy touch if focused. Winner on re-entry before running 2nd at Caen, Mohawk (7) takes on better this time but still looks competitively well-in.
