VERDICT: Winner of a claimer under these conditions late last month, Juan Carlos Gifont (13) has shown a liking for Enghien and, even from the 2nd line, can confirm. He will still come under pressure from front-line starters Krafen (6) who ran 3rd over course and distance just a fortnight ago, and the better-positioned Izio Du Pommereux (4) who boasts a decent record at this level. Jean Madrik (11) finished a place behind Gregory Thorel's horse here two weeks ago and must be afforded respect.
