VERDICT: A switch to patient tactics worked the oracle for Northbound when he coasted home at Wolverhampton last week. However, he is effectively 11lb higher without Cian Horgan's 3lb claim so Miss Willows shades the vote. Simon Whitaker's mare has a 10lb hike of her own to overcome, but she looked one to follow when making all on her seasonal bow at Catterick. The down-in-grade Naval Academy is worth a second look off a career-low mark.
