VERDICT: It could pay to take a chance on Club Manager on his first start for Ross O'Sullivan. A winning hurdler, the five-year-old remains relatively unexposed on the Flat after just four starts on the turf. Although his all-weather record is somewhat patchy, he is almost certainly a better horse with a significant ease in the ground. A thorough stayer who won over two miles, he has had few chances over a real stamina test. As long as the ground doesn't dry out too much, he can be involved. Forlio should appreciate this easier grade having shown up well on his return, and he has run with credit here previously. Wednesday's Gowran runner-up Elle Dorado Rock and recent course scorer The Truant have to be considered closely too.
