VERDICT: Having justified strong support in the betting market when regaining the winning thread at Nottingham 12 days ago, Hostelry warrants respect in her follow-up bid. However, a 4lb rise in the ratings demands more from Ruth Carr's mare and preference is for Light Up Our Stars. The son of Rip Van Winkle arrives on the back of a solid second at Brighton and he makes slightly more appeal racing off an unchanged mark. Ballsbridge is also worth a second look.
