VERDICT: Cruyff Turn only weakened late on to finish a respectable fourth in a stronger event over a mile at this venue and the handicapper may have been kind to leave his mark alone. The eight-year-old ran out a two-length victor when last seen in this grade at Thirsk in September and he looks the way to go. Al Muqdad hit the crossbar at Ayr to sign off his 2024 campaign and has cheekpieces removed for his return to action. Circe is also noted.
