VERDICT: Paul Nicholls has trained five of the last nine winners of this race and his Zaochen Enki is the first to consider. This well-related four-year-old was a promising second on his sole start in France before emerging as the ready winner of a maiden on debut for Nicholls at Wincanton last month. A 7lb penalty looks manageable and a follow-up success is a realistic expectation. Inside Man, Sage Green and Golden Echo are others to consider.
