VERDICT: Competitive event. It could be the right race for Pongola to add to his tally. He is holding form nicely but it is interesting he has yet to win in 14 starts over the distance. Mac Hardy had been knocking at the door on the poly but showed he can be a threat on turf too. He gives the impression he will enjoy the extra distance. Gorgeous Dude won a nice race on the turf, showing he is capable on both surfaces at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Eventidor could also be coming to hand again. More with upset potential in it.
