VERDICT: The Craftymaster has two C&D wins and a neck second here to his name, and his latest success at Newcastle came off 1lb higher than today's mark, though he was not at his best when fifth last time. Gallant Lion represents last season's winning trainer and is of interest trying this trip for the first time on the Flat, but Comte De Loir is narrowly preferred. A Kempton winner in January and third at Newcastle since, he tries cheekpieces now and may have more to offer as a lightly-raced four-year-old.
