VERDICT: Laganhill failed to maintain his unbeaten record when well beaten in Grade 2 company at Kelso, but this should be easier and he ought to go close. Even so, Jax Junior gets the vote. The six-year-old finished a close third in the Sidney Banks before finding the Albert Bartlett too much of an ask. He now sports a first-time tongue-tie and that may help eke out more. Dr Eggman got off the mark over hurdles at Limerick and is another to note.
