VERDICT: The weights in this Grade 3 event favour older horses Magic Verse and Rascallion, class-droppers who ran in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Town Met last time out. Both should be competitive in these calmer waters, though preference is for the hard-knocking latter whose form includes a victory in this race last year. Consistent 3yo geldings Garrix and Let It Be Said receive 9kg from the selection and are open to improvement.
