VERDICT: Code Purple has a good course record of three wins and three seconds from six starts. Although not at his best at Newcastle last month, he could be worth another chance back on turf. Shine On Brendan finished last season with wins at Hamilton and Ayr and is entitled to go close on his return to action, leaving Rainwater as a potential improver if he retains the speed needed for the drop back to a mile.
