VERDICT: It is difficult to look past the classy Pied Piper, who only last year was third in the County Hurdle and, previous to that, finished runner-up in the English Cesarewitch. The ground should be ideal on his first go over fences and he gets the vote ahead of Encanto Bruno, who is much better than he showed on his chasing bow at Gowran in October. A stablemate of the selection, Binge Worthy cannot be ruled out either.
