VERDICT: By some margin the richest horse here, and for good reason, Koctel Du Dain (10) simply excels over 2700m and even though unseen since January, he races barefoot for the occasion and should logically take all of the beating. David Thomain will still be wary of the rejuvenated and reconfigured Ksar (9) whose Prix de Selection performance bodes well for his chances, and Kanto Avis (7) who confirmed his superb Prix Ovide Moulinet effort (behind Kokote) when victorious in the Gr.3 Prix de la Mayenne. Kataki De Wallis (5) put in a decent return run at Caen and, barefoot for the first time, looks competitive for a spot in the mix.
