VERDICT: Buffalo Storm Cody could hardly have been more impressive last month when winning over 1160m on his reappearance after a rest and gelding. He remains open to improvement and it could pay to follow his progress. However, he is engaged to run at an earlier meeting so his participation isn't guaranteed. Last-start winner Mount Pinatubo heads a 3-pronged attack for trainer Johan Janse van Vuuren but his race readiness is a concern after a lengthy layoff, thus stablemate Salenio Peninsula could pose more of a threat, especially over this shorter trip that is more to her liking.
