VERDICT: Ashikule stayed on well to finish 2nd on debut behind a subsequent feature-race winner and, with the benefit of that pleasing introduction under his belt, he needn't improve much to go one better. Spirit, Call Of The Karoo and Demanding Dave also have the benefit of experience so they could improve to trouble the selection, though a bigger threat will likely come from one of the well-bred newcomers - pay careful ttention to the betting for clues to the chances of Roland Garros, Siriano, The Roaring Rock, All The Rage and Prins Jaspar.
