VERDICT: A contest that might prove to be informative in the coming months with plenty of unexposed types. Philanthropist improved with each start as a juvenile and James Fanshawe's gelding scored at the third attempt on the all-weather at Newcastle. Now sent handicapping, it wouldn't be a surprise to see further improvement. Prince Of India has the benefit of a run under his belt after a novice victory at Wolverhampton and commands plenty of respect, while Kirkdale, Platinum Crystal and Stenmark appeal most of the remainder.
