VERDICT: Ballarat Bertie opened his account with last month's victory at Wolverhampton, though it's far from certain this drop back in distance will suit. Perfect Parole is marginally preferred to the latter, given she won over the extended mile at Wolverhampton in February, but the steadily improving I Can Boogy may prove the one to side with. Nigel Tinkler's filly snatched second in the dying strides over 7f at Newcastle last time and that encouraging effort suggests she will see out this longer trip.
