VERDICT: Detroit Lion posted his best effort to date when upped to 1m3f at Southwell and finishing a respectable second. This extra distance may bring further progress and Joe Leavy's 3lb allowance relieves some of the burden of carrying top weight. Ribble River ended last season with a double and there should be more to come from him this year, while Letmeseethecolts returned to turf with a good effort at Doncaster last month and could have a say in proceedings.
