VERDICT: Maasai (1) produced an impressive debut display at Lyon-La Soie in February. He can certainly follow up if in the same mood. Melodie Du Virois (4) was a good debut winner at Paray-le-Monial and could be anything, so deserves respect in this line-up. Mirage D'ardennes (10) looks likely to be smarter second time out and can contest the finish. Macumba Desbois (8) is fit and improving and can also get into the mix of things.
