VERDICT: Hawkesbury Legend came up against a progressive sort when runner-up at Wolverhampton on his handicap bow. This looks less competitive and the son of Nathaniel is fancied to launch a serious challenge off his current mark. Salaria went close over today's distance at Newcastle on her penultimate start and rates a threat if reproducing that effort, while Aurelius Maximus will likely appreciate this extra test of stamina now handicapping and it would be no surprise if he proves competitive.
