VERDICT: Pallas Lord won the penultimate staging of this race in a gutsy manner and the seven-year-old, who has enjoyed a profitable all-weather season, can repeat the feat despite running off 4lb higher. Admittedly, there are several others who can have a big say, including handicap-debutant Toralou, whose recent second in a novice stakes at Newcastle has a solid appearance. Stratocracy, Roaring Ralph and Ahamoment are other each-way options.
