VERDICT: Atlantic Gamble was highly progressive last season and is entitled to the utmost respect on his return from a 198-day absence, but the vote goes to Hieronymus. A narrow winner over 7f here last time out, he is only 2lb higher and given that the mile probably suits him better nowadays, he is fancied to go in again. Racingbreaks Ryder might not be far away.
