VERDICT: The Hatchet, who hinted at ability when second on his sole start in a point-to-point, caught the eye with a reasonable fourth-placed finish in a similar event at Ayr last month, and appeals strongly given he should be a lot wiser. Similar comments apply to Golden Whirl and L'insurge, whose debut runs weren't without promise, while Port Station won't need to be out of the ordinary to figure on his racecourse bow.
