VERDICT: Rebel Gold takes a drop in class and can get back to winning ways. The top-weight has kept good company since winning a Grade 3 contest at Naas back in February 2023, but has acquitted himself well on several occasions and ran a solid race when second to cosy winner Champagne Mahler in a valuable contest at Gowran Park last month. Dont Go Yet hasn't been too far away over the winter and could be a danger. Last year's winner Shadow Rider is another who has to come into calculations.
