VERDICT: Nathan Wells made a pleasing stable debut for the Andrew Hamilton team when filling the runner-up spot at Hexham three weeks ago and he merits the utmost respect in a race of this nature, but the vote goes to Masterpiece. Rebecca Menzies' gelding, a bumper winner at Newcastle in October, looks certain to appreciate the switch to hurdling and ought to go close. Tyson Magoo is another to consider.
