VERDICT: Connections reported that Adela Icon didn't enjoy the testing ground in Punchestown, so she did well to shed her maiden tag. This ground is expected to suit her much better and improvement should be forthcoming on it. Shuffle The Deck carried a lofty reputation into a Grade 1 over C&D in January, but was pulled up. He has winning form on better ground and a good performance looks more than likely. Casheldale Lad didn't get through testing going at Navan, but should be very much at home on this surface.
