VERDICT: Pistache Dore (4) fough it out with a decent rival before going down in defeat in his first chase. He can go one better if confirming that form. Metasequoia (5) showed plenty of talent in 2023 but is returning from a lengthy break and his fitness will need to be taken on trust. King Conti (3) has good form at this track but is also returning from a short break. Kapaca De Thaix (2) is fit and in very good form so deserves the utmost respect.
